Mia’s latest obsession = The Beverly Hills Chihuahua (or…”Bramble Hills Chiwala”) movie series. Number 3 just came out. Being a good Aunt, Marci mailed the DVD to us.

Yesterday afternoon when I asked her to put away her shoes she stuck her hand out at me and said “Talk to the paw!”

Cheeky little Chihauhau. I put her in her kennel.

Recent conversation with Mama J while putting her chair on top of her kid-size table:

Mia: Sometimes people put chairs ON the table!
Mama J: That’s true (they do it at her school to clean the floors).
Mia: So I’m going to leave mine up there. And I’m going to sit on the chair.
Mama J: No, that’s not safe.
Mia: But if I were a brave Chiwala (Chihuahua) warrior I could sit up there.
Mama J: (after a long pause)… That’s true, but you are not a Chiwala.
Mia: But I want to practice being brave!
Mama J: (thinking: how does she always outsmart me?) You are brave honey, but you are not a Chihuahua. Please do not sit on the chair.
Mia: OK. (So she bit the chair instead.)
